“What is the date 90 days from today?” comes up for return windows, warranty periods, notice periods, trial offers, probation reviews and filing deadlines. This calculator adds or subtracts any number of days from a date — and, unlike a plain date adder, it can also count business days (Monday to Friday) so you can see when a “10 working days” deadline actually falls.

How to use the days from date calculator

  1. Enter the start date.
  2. Type the number of days to move.
  3. Pick the direction: after the start date (a deadline in the future) or before it (how far back to look).
  4. Choose calendar or business days. Business-day mode skips Saturdays and Sundays.

Count the days left in each month until none remain — here 16 + 30 + 31 + 13 = 90 lands on January 13, 2027.
Calendar days: end date = start date ± N days
Business days: step one day at a time and count only Monday–Friday until N have been counted

For calendar days the calculator adds N to the start date’s day number and converts it back, so month lengths and leap years are handled exactly. For business days it walks forward or backward one day at a time, skipping weekends. The start date itself is never counted: “1 day from Monday” is Tuesday.

Worked example: 90 days from October 15, 2026

  1. Days remaining in October: 31 − 15 = 16 → 74 days left to add.
  2. November: 30 days → 44 left.
  3. December: 31 days → 13 left.
  4. 13 days into January 2027 gives Wednesday, January 13, 2027.

In business-day mode, 10 business days from Thursday, October 15 is Thursday, October 29, 2026 — 14 calendar days later.

Where people use it

  • Return and refund windows — a 30-day return policy ends 30 calendar days after the purchase date.
  • Notice periods — leases and contracts often say 30, 60 or 90 days.
  • Net payment terms — “net 30” invoices are due 30 calendar days after the invoice date.
  • Government and legal deadlines — frequently counted in business days or have their own rules for weekends and holidays; check the rule that applies to you.

Things to watch

Whether the start day counts is the most common source of off-by-one errors. Most legal and commercial deadlines exclude the start day, which is how this calculator works. If your agreement says “within 30 days including the first day”, subtract one day from the result. Public holidays are not removed in business-day mode.

For longer spans, the Weeks From Date Calculator and Months From Date Calculator calculators are often more natural, and the Date Calculator counts the days between two dates. To count down to a specific event, use Days Until Calculator.

Frequently asked questions

What is 90 days from today?

Add 90 calendar days to today’s date. From October 15, 2026, 90 days later is Wednesday, January 13, 2027.

What is the difference between calendar days and business days?

Calendar days count every day of the week. Business days count only Monday through Friday, so 10 business days is normally 14 calendar days. This calculator does not remove public holidays because they vary by country and employer.

How do I count 30 days from a date?

Add 30 to the date, carrying over the month boundary. 30 days from January 31 is March 2 in a common year, because February has only 28 days. The calculator does this for you.

What happens when I start on a weekend in business-day mode?

The weekend days are skipped. Counting 1 business day after a Saturday gives the following Monday, and counting 1 business day before a Sunday gives the previous Friday.

Can I subtract days?

Yes — choose “Before the start date”. That is useful for working out a date such as 30 days before an event.
